Sourashtra Poem
mingi mingi dolo payn
kawlo dolo gudda payn
gaay payn nondi payn
betkin kedum desa payn
mingi mingi dolo payn
Here is the translation of the song which I thought would be the meaning for this song in sourashtra
Prosperity,love,music and harmony are some words which can explain the town where the poet lives in.
Mingi Mingi dolo Payn - The people are in a festival mood and people are sharing greetings with each other,like ants sending messages using their antennae and kids getting blessings from the old blind people.
Kawlo dolo gudde payn - As its a festive season the crows are having a great time,feasting on the different variety of rices and sweet that are given to them.(PS In india its a rule that you give the crows,the first meal before you eat,because the crows represent,the forefathers).And the crows are even confused were to ear first because of the tasty food available at so many places.
Gaay Payn Nondi Payn - The cows are lined up with their horn colored and are being milked ,to provide milk for family and the guests.And there are some kids standing close to their mothers(well there's this standing in one leg thing,this is it :P) waiting for that one small butter piece,to be given.
Betkin kedum Desa Payn - Since its the festive season,the water consumption of the family is high and there are some girls in the street,with the large vessels to fetch water and some returning home with those large vessels carried on their hips filled with water.
Meaning of the Sourashtra Words

Dolo=Eye
Kawlo=Crow
Gaay=Cow
Payn=Leg
Gudde=Blind
Betkin =Girls(Betki=Girl)
Ked=Back/Hip
